ERP Consolidation: The Winners Get it Right

In late 2013, APQC developed and launched a survey to uncover the critical success factors that must be in place when an organization endeavors to simplify and harmonize its ERP landscape, business processes, and data models. According to APQC research, only 30 percent of responding organizations use ideal ERP systems.

Successful organizations don't treat IT strategy as something that stands apart from the elements of the enterprise ecosystem that collectively drive enterprise value. The successful organizations understand that all the elements--from organizational structure and human capital to business process models and IT platforms--are essential enablers of the business' strategy.
