Collaboration helps groups across an enterprise drive more sustainable process improvements, communicate more effectively with each other, and develop a more comprehensive view of how end-to-end processes deliver customer value. But all too often, business silos create significant barriers to these forms of collaboration.

APQC hosted Elisabeth Swan, President of Swan Consulting and Associates Inc. and co-founder of the Just-in-Time Café podcast series, for a webinar about how organizations can break down silos for better collaboration. After diagnosing the most common causes of business silos, Swan offered practical advice for how organizations can increase connection through interventions to organizational structure, simplified language, and collaborative improvement projects.
