Nate Lavigne
Executive Director of Technology
Nathaniel (Nate) Lavigne brings more than a decade and a half of technical operations, project management, and collaborative leadership experience to his role as APQC Executive Director of Technology. Nate ensures that APQC’s information technology resources and activities are carefully aligned with the organization’s business strategies. The result is effective information technology that strengthens APQC’s operations and business continuity, while supporting member experiences.
Nate uses proven methodologies and in-depth skills to plan and direct IT project implementation operations. He has oversight and management of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies (including risk assessment and mitigation process) while supervising the ongoing design, maintenance, and optimization of APQC’s network infrastructure.
In addition, he creates, implements, and documents APQC’s IT policies, protocols, and standards, while creating and managing the IT budget and forecasting processes in collaboration with the organization’s CFO.
Before joining APQC, Nathaniel was AMPP’s Director of Technology, Analytics, and User Experience. In this role, he led a team of 13 IT professionals and 8 global customer support representatives, with a focus on continual training and best practices implementation. Also under his purview was oversight and selection of a company-wide association management system (ERP), along with optimization of AMPP’s IT operations budget. During his tenure, Nate improved AMPP’s return on investment by reinvesting in agile software development and technology. He was also responsible for improving customer experience and call volume reduction among AMPP’s domestic and global customer support teams.
Previously, Nate held leadership positions with NACE International, where he directed upgrades of the organization’s central ERP system; initiated and led enhancement of the internal course scheduling and automated system supporting more than 1,200 domestic and educational courses; and created numerous engagement and metric tracking systems to identify member activity gaps.
Nate earned his MBA in Management and Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Sam Houston State University. He is an ASAE Certified Association Executive (CAE).
