Matt Zacher
Senior Consultant, APQC
As a senior consultant with APQC's Advisory Services group, Matt Zacher helps organizations improve performance through process management, knowledge management, and custom benchmarking initiatives. He partners with clients to assess capabilities, develop strategies, lead improvement projects, and deliver engaging training programs and workshops. A subject matter expert in process and performance management and knowledge management, Matt helps organizations translate data and best practices into practical, measurable results.
Matt serves as APQC's Advisory Services lead for Custom Benchmarking, overseeing quantitative and qualitative benchmarking studies that help organizations evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement. A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, he brings a data-driven approach to process improvement and has extensive experience managing complex projects, developing assessment frameworks, and guiding organizations through strategic change. As an instructor, Matt teaches APQC courses and workshops, sharing practical insights drawn from his consulting experience to help professionals strengthen their process management capabilities.
Before joining APQC in 2016, Matt spent 10 years as a Certified Financial Planner at leading financial firms and three years leading project and change management initiatives in the high-tech manufacturing industry. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and served eight years as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army, leading soldiers at the platoon and company levels.
