Marisa Brown is a Senior Principal Research Lead at APQC, where she directs research in supply chain management, innovation, and product development. With nearly 30 years of experience, she is a recognized authority on supply chain performance and benchmarking, helping organizations and senior leaders turn research, data, and best practices into measurable business results. As an instructor, Marisa teaches the Global Thought Leadership Institute (GTLI) Producer course and contributes to APQC webinars, helping professionals develop and communicate impactful, research-based insights.

Throughout her career at APQC, Marisa has led global, cross-industry research initiatives examining how leading organizations design, manage, and continuously improve their supply chains and product development processes. Her work focuses on identifying practical, evidence-based approaches that improve resilience, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. Known for her ability to uncover meaningful patterns and translate complex research into actionable guidance, she helps organizations apply insights that drive better business decisions and lasting performance improvement.

Marisa is a certified GTLI Thought Leadership Producer and serves on the Supply Chain Industry Advisory Board at the University of Houston. She is a regular contributor to Supply Chain Management Review, where she authors the "Benchmarks" column, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. She holds a BBA and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, along with professional certifications from the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics.
