Madison Lundquist

Madison “Maddy” Lundquist studies the best practices that top organizations use to build strong processes and drive continuous improvement. As the leader of process and performance management research at APQC, she sets the vision and leads projects that explore how organizations manage workflows, define responsibilities, and track results. Her work surfaces practical strategies to improve agility and alignment across the business. Maddy partners with members to understand the real-world challenges they face and help them find ways to address them. She also manages internal process documentation efforts within research services, ensuring that workflows are clearly mapped and accessible to staff across the organization. In addition, she frequently presents her research findings to members, sharing insights in a way that is both practical and easy to implement. 

Maddy’s journey with APQC started nearly 15 years ago as an intern. After transitioning into a marketing role, she became an expert in Marketo and earned her certification in 2021. But what really drew her in was the process and performance side of APQC’s work. Over time, she developed a strong business understanding and deep knowledge across multiple disciplines, which has allowed her to be one of the most adaptable contributors on the team. She has a sharp eye for finding the right ways to assess processes and measure improvements to drive performance, often helping teams identify gaps and recommending impactful solutions. 

What sets Maddy apart is her focus on strong foundations. She believes that well-documented, end-to-end processes are an essential part of any continuous improvement program. She enjoys collaborating with APQC’s member community, especially when she can connect with people and help them solve problems. Whether she’s leading a project, fine-tuning a process, or mentoring colleagues, Maddy brings clarity, focus, and a genuine interest in helping people and organizations thrive.
