Talent Development for the Supply Chain

Recruiting high-potential supply chain professionals is of interest to many organizations. With supply chain becoming a more strategic function within the enterprise, organizations are seeking employees that can meet the demands of a complex, global economy. In a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, Melissa Korn highlights this demand and describes how universities are attempting to meet it by offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in supply chain management.

What remains to be seen are the steps employers are taking to attract, develop, and retain supply chain professionals. APQC is conducting a brief survey on how organizations recruit and develop talent in the supply chain. The survey focuses on the following questions:

  •    Do organizations have formal supply chain recruiting and development programs?
  •    What do these programs look like?
  •    Which skill sets are important for supply chain professionals?

We invite you to participate in this project. Complete the survey and provide your contact information to receive a summary of the survey results at the end of the data collection period.
