Maximum elapsed time in hours to engineer, select, and negotiate with suppliers and order materials for customized configuration of non-standard items (capability model engineer-to-order only)

This measure calculates the maximum number of hours it takes to engineer, select and negotiate with suppliers and order materials for customized configuration of non-standard items. The calculation applies only to an engineer-to-order capability model, which is a supply chain capable of adapting a product to the customer's required specifications and is built or configured of one or more custom parts. This measure is part of a set of Cycle Time measures that help companies analyze the duration of the process "produce/manufacture/deliver product" from beginning to end.
