This measure calculates the number of hours it takes to initiate, approve, and dispatch a wire transfer. It is part of a set of Cycle Time measures that help companies analyze the duration from beginning to end of the "manage cash" process, which consists of taking care of all cash-related activities. These activities include managing and reconciling cash positions; managing cash equivalents; processing and overseeing electronic fund transfers; developing cash flow forecasts; producing cash management accounting transactions and reports; managing and overseeing banking relationships; and analyzing, negotiating, resolving, and confirming bank fees.
