How Organizations Use Process Frameworks
Process frameworks like APQC’s Process Classification Framework (PCF)® are incredibly useful for jumpstarting process standardization, developing a common language for processes, creating end-to-end process maps, and more. However, these activities and the work of process management more broadly can be challenging, and organizations are often unsure how to get started when they adopt a process framework.
In a roundtable discussion facilitated by Madison Lundquist (Principal Research Lead, Process and Performance Management at APQC), participants discussed topics including:
- the benefits of using a process framework,
- how organizations get started with frameworks,
- driving engagement and buy-in for frameworks, and
- measuring the value that frameworks provide.
The following provides a summary of the discussion and related resources for further reading.
