Using Enterprise Quality Measurement to Drive Business Value: Study Overview
Organizations have long recognized the need to assess the quality of products and services, but only in the past few years have a substantial number of organizations pursued the measurement of enterprise-wide quality. This overview briefly explains the findings and insights APQC gained during its 2011 Using Enterprise Quality Measurement to Drive Business Value study. The full report investigates the foundational practices every organization needs to successfully evaluate quality as well as the emerging practices that leading organizations—specifically Altera Corporation and Chemonics International—are employing to stay on top of their quality efforts. This article provides a synopsis of the research.
