An increasing number of organizations are using mentoring and apprenticeship programs to provide long-tenured experts with opportunities to pass on their tacit knowledge. Mentoring can also help organizations with onboarding, leadership development, and succession management. This article describes the use of mentoring to support knowledge transfer at Fluor, the Aerospace Corporation, and Rolls-Royce.
