Supply Chain Skills Gaps Pose a Challenge

In June 2013, APQC conducted its Recruiting and Developing Talent in the Supply Chain study to investigate leading organizations’ talent management practices and discover what organizations are doing to fill talent gaps and develop new supply chain professionals.

As part of its study, APQC collected survey responses from 167 organizations that represented more than 40 different industries. The survey results reveal that organizations are looking for supply chain employees who can meet the demands of a complex, global economy. However, there is a need for further skills development in supply chain professionals.
