According to the APQC Leading Practices for Financial and Managerial Reporting survey, bar/column charts, line charts, and pie charts are by far the most common visuals used for financial reporting. Is this because they are the best charts, or is it because that’s what has always been used?

In this webinar, Dave Paradi, recognized author and speaker, discusses selecting data visuals based on the insights you want to communicate to executives.

Topics of discussion include:

  • Separating commonly reported indicators into three elements that define reporting
  • Using the MCI approach to determine the best data visuals
  • How to interview executives to determine the insights they need so you can create the visuals that they will understand and use
  • Examples of visuals that communicate the different insights
