At APQC's 2015 Process Conference, Daniela Robu, director of knowledge management infrastructure at Alberta Health Services (AHS), shared results from the implementation of the organization's business stewards program. Entitled, "Performance Excellence: Optimized Services as a Result of the Business Steward Program Implementation," the presentation focused on Robu's knowledge management infrastructure team at AHS carrying out the business stewards initiative to help employees more efficiently and effectively access health care information. The team successfully implemented the program using a three-step approach: understand the performance environment, provide solutions to address the performance gap, and provide analysis and evaluation.
