Making the Business Case for T&E Improvements

The COVID-19 pandemic shuttered offices around the world and brought business travel to a virtual standstill in 2020. As business travel begins to resume in 2021, CFOs and other finance leaders are reevaluating their T&E policies and searching for ways to reduce a potential surge of T&E spending after a difficult year.

In May 2021, Ernie Humphrey, CTP (CEO Treasury Webinars) participated in a panel discussion hosted by travel management provider TripActions on the new realities of T&E management. In addition to sharing some of the results from APQC’s research project T&E: The How, the Why, the ROI survey, for which APQC is partnering with Humphrey, who is providing subject matter expertise, Humphrey shared expertise and insights about topics including:

  • how greater spend visibility can help make an organization’s T&E program more efficient and cost effective;
  • how real-time data can help organizations make more informed business decisions; and
  • how automated spend management solutions can streamline workplace processes.
