Introducing Dimensionality to the PCF

APQC’s Process Classification Framework (PCF)® is a taxonomy of business processes; it defines and structures the processes through with organizations accomplish work. Around the world and across industries, organizations use the PCF to create enterprise architectures, manage content, and benchmark their performance. Through the implementation of dimensions, the PCF can also be used to integrate knowledge and process. This article defines a new PCF related concept call dimensions, explains how dimensions integrate into process frameworks, and introduces a dimension maturity model.
