How Procurement Supports Organizational Agility

Many CEOs are concerned their organizations lack the skills and flexibility necessary to identify and deal with new opportunities and threats. Organizational agility allows organizations to overcome such obstacles. Strategic planning practices (i.e., planning activities, internal and external assessments, and implementation practices) affect organizational agility. When the procurement function is part of an organization’s strategic planning efforts, it can help the enterprise overcome operational silos, which often hamper growth in organizational agility.
