At NextEra Energy, an employee survey revealed that employees wanted more efficient work processes to improve job satisfaction and work/life balance. Around the same time, NextEra asked its Power Generation Division (PGD) business unit to lead a KM initiative for the company. As PGD began assessing its KM capability gaps, it determined that better content management and search capability would help it improve work processes and employee engagement.
In this presentation, Cynthia Barlow, Kelly Schoonover, and Adriana Falcon of NextEra's power generation division discussed how PGD improved work content management and work processes with a new operational model. They also shared lessons learned and tips for managing the associated change.
