Last year, Intel Finance didn't have a centralized place to share data or get work done. Employees had to look through many websites and talk to many people to find out if what they had was what they needed. On top of that, the culture was very uncomfortable with sharing confidential finance data widely among the community. This delayed decisions and hindered productivity within the organization. In this conference session, Yin Yu of Intel explained how his group launched a finance search engine and knowledge help service to make data and information more accessible to the community and increase its overall efficiency.
