Despite their value proposition and wide-spread use, lessons learned programs and systems regularly fail to deliver their intended results. Although many organizations are successful at capturing lessons, these same organizations often struggle with reuse. The introduction of cognitive computing has the potential to speed and simplify access to relevant lessons learned, thus increasing the likelihood that lessons will be reused when and where they are applicable.
This use case was co-developed by APQC’s 2015-2016 KM Advanced Working Group, which studied emerging cognitive computing capabilities and their potential impact on knowledge management. APQC would like to thank the Advanced Working Group members for their participation and contributions: Deloitte, EY, NASA, Pfizer Inc., and U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
