Finance 2021: Finance Function Trends, Priorities, and Challenges

APQC conducted its annual Financial Management Priorities and Challenges survey in late 2020 to understand the priorities, innovations, trends, and challenges for the finance function in 2021. The survey’s 240 respondents represent finance professionals from a wide range of industries and geographies. COVID-19 made 2020 a challenging year for many organizations. The findings from this year’s survey illustrate the impacts of the pandemic as well as the countless ways in which finance had to adjust its processes, practices, and work environments in response.
