According to APQC’s Putting Knowledge in the Flow of Work Best Practices Study, one technique for integrating knowledge management (KM) into the flow of work is to broaden the reach of KM tools and approaches beyond just salaried employees. By creating more open platforms, best-practice organizations allow their work forces to collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, joint-venture partners, and other external stakeholders.
