Effective training is critical for building a mature risk management culture. Employees across an enterprise not only need to learn how risk intersects with their daily work, but also practical and tactical steps that help to mitigate risk. Unfortunately, far too many organizations design risk management training that overwhelms employees with too much information or does not give them specific guidance for their role. As a result, employees are more likely to disengage and less likely to learn their role in managing risk.
