Over two years, what started as a pilot became a full-fledged enterprise-wide knowledge management program that integrates KM into the flow of work. By leveraging a model that manages the “people side of change,” Bechtel's KM program has dramatically accelerated how employees capture, share, and access business-critical information across its global portfolio. The cornerstone to the program’s success is an approach that focuses on Bechtel’s greatest asset: its people. This presentation outlines challenges Bechtel faced, 20 tactics the organization used, and its lessons learned along the way.
