Capturing and Applying Lessons Learned Within the Organization

At APQC's 2016 Knowledge Management (KM) conference, Sarah Craig, a lookbacks and lessons learned lead at Nexen, spoke on how to better capture lessons learned through alignment with organizational culture, a fit-for-purpose model, and a user-friendly repository. In this session, Craig discussed how lessons are captured and disseminated through social collaboration platforms within the company and through knowledge sharing sessions. She also discussed how to make this process fit-for-purpose and less onerous on teams and clients; and discover how this process works and how it can create value for the company.
