In June 2017, APQC spoke with Rich de Moll about the opportunities for blockchain in finance. Blockchain is an immutable shared-ledger technology that supports a new generation of transactional applications and streamlined business processes by establishing trust, accountability, and transparency across the business network. As the former vice president of blockchain solutions and transformation at IBM and former CFO for Dun & Bradstreet Inc., de Moll discussed with APQC how blockchain could significantly reduce the cost and complexity of finance business transactions, while also improving controls. This article focuses on using blockchain for finance processes.
