Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, and the Future of Finance

Although it is still an emergent technology, blockchain promises a wide range of benefits to the finance function—some of which are already visible. This article summarizes insights from Kevin Brown (CEO, Avanta Risk Management), Robert Zwink (CTO and cofounder, SafeChain Financial, Inc.), and Jon West (founder, Vercey Blockchain Consulting) based on their participation in a recent APQC financial management webinar/panel discussion on the current and future uses of blockchain in finance.
