At its core change management is the act of proactively managing change and minimizing the resistance to organizational change through a set of structured processes or approaches to transition employees, teams, and/or an entire organization to a desired future state. Unfortunately, though change management is a mature discipline in many ways, organizations continue to struggle with effective change. Often the art of change, which allows organizations to ensure the adoption of new behaviors, gets lost in the execution of projects.

This research explores trends in change management practices and looks at the gap between “check the box” practices and those that instill behavioral shifts in employees.
