Position Title: Research Analyst

Overview:

APQC is seeking a Research Analyst to manage APQC research projects and drive the creation of research-based articles, benchmarks, best practices, reports, and other content. With thought leadership  and guidance from APQC’s principal research leads and support from APQC’s statisticians and writers, the research analyst is a critical player who pulls all the pieces together to create compelling content for APQC’s members.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage research projects within and across topical areas in APQC’s Research Services
    • Plan projects, collect quantitative and qualitative data via surveys and interviews, analyze and interpret the collected information, and create compelling content
    • Responsible for quality of content throughout the projects, giving multiple editorial reviews at appropriate times
    • Engage staff members with appropriate skillsets in the research as needed
  • Write content based on existing or newly-collected data and information
  • Develop expertise in subject area 
  • Develop storyboards and collaborate with graphics designer for infographic and other visually attractive content pieces
  • Disseminate APQC content by actively blogging on APQC sites and participating in APQC webinars and podcasts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience (including large and medium scale projects)
  • 2-3 years of business writing experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated research and analysis abilities
  • Ability to understand business structure, improvement, and decision-making needs within large enterprises
  • Ability to form solid opinions based on relevant information extracted from APQC research
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • College degree in relevant field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Solid written and oral English
  • Some knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style helpful (but not required)
