Many organizations' efforts to improve their processes are both inefficient and ineffective. At APQC's 2014 Process Conference, Jess Scheer, senior process consultant at APQC, shared the most common ways organizations inadvertently undermine their process management improvement efforts. Often this happens because of a lack of planning, alignment, or ownership which can result in wasted time, resources, and good will. This article summarizes the presentation.
