Why HR Isn't More Strategic



The ultimate or ideal state for strategic HR is often referred to as HR having a "seat at the executive table" or as HR being a true partner to business leaders. Despite years of industry talk about this ideal state, it remains elusive to a large portion of organizations, which is revealed by a survey of 162 HR professionals conducted by APQC and AIMC (Association of Internal Management Consultants). This article reviews why organizations are not acting as strategic business partners, as revealed by the survey findings.
