APQC's Value of Benchmarking Study examined the return organizations receive from conducting benchmarking for specific business actives. In addition to the value of the measurement exercise, the study also looked at which functions are most commonly benchmarked. This article looks at the top three functions being benchmarked for core business activities (i.e., strategic planning, budgeting, process improvement, and performance targets).
