Because most of the information shared by British Petroleum Exploration & Production (BPX) employees involved complex, tacit knowledge--which cannot be adequately shared in documents and databases--a Virtual Teamworking project was set in motion. The project features a kit that includes videoconferencing equipment, multimedia e-mail, an electronic white board, and other tools to foster improved communication and collaboration.
