Using Communities of Practice for Process Improvement at PETRONAS Carigali

At APQC's 2014 Knowledge Management (KM) Conference Niza Adila Hamzah, KM mass collaboration and network manager at PETRONAS Carigali, discussed how her KM team was able to nurture mass collaboration and networks by escalating the role of communities as an integral element of the organization's business process improvement. Key components of the approach include using communities to complete the loop from current-state workflow to project execution, to project review and identifying best practices, and finally to having an enhanced process workflow.
