At APQC's 2014 Knowledge Management (KM) Conference, PETRONAS Carigali presented on how it utilizes communities of practice for continuous improvement.  As the platform where best practices are calibrated and process improvements developed, communities have been used to complete the loop from current-state workflow to project execution, to project review and identifying best practices, to having an enhanced process workflow.
