Using APQC's PCF as the Basis of a New IT Process Framework

This presentation demonstrates how APQC’s Process Classification Framework (PCF) can be applied to any organization to help identify and reduce redundant processes and tools. As part of a strategic program within Royal Philips Electronics, a company-wide process framework was created based on APQC’s PCF. For IT, this new framework closely aligned the new IT operating model with the PCF.

In this presentation, Philips shows how it was able to apply the PCF and benefit from all the benchmark data that is available through APQC. They also showed how a structured top-down (driven from corporate strategy) and bottom-up (workshops with subject matter experts) engagement yielded the best results and helped create its business case.
