This case study summarizes insights from Brad O’Bryan, director of financial planning and forecasting at ArcBest, about the organization’s journey to transform its forecasting process. After eliminating its annual budget in favor of a quarterly rolling forecast, ArcBest was confronted with a number of challenges, including confusion of forecasts with strategic goals and difficulties communicating the value of forecasts.
