For better information management, Company A made a decision to move from local drives into secure shared spaces. The challenge for Company A’s knowledge management (KM) department (housed within its IT department) was to get all of these changes managed timely, effectively, and efficiently. To achieve this objective, the KM/IT team implemented a support network called the Site Collection Administrator (SCA). This was a central group used for collaboration, sharing, and learning about SharePoint.
