Problems with Traditional Leadership



The traditional style of leadership characterized by hierarchical organizational structures, command-and-control procedures, and seniority-based authority is no longer working, suggests APQC's 2013 survey on the current state of leadership. In this article, an advanced analysis of the survey data is presented, which examined the differences between organizations using the traditional leadership style and organizations using a newer, more collaborative and fluid leadership approach.
