Performance-oriented organizations are focusing on positively impacting and motivating employees with their performance management systems. But, how do they do it? APQC conducted a Collaborative Benchmarking study, Performance Management: Tapping Your Organization's People Potential, in 1999 to find out. Five organizations were chosen for examination based on their high degree of commitment to their performance management processes: 

  • Air Force Research Laboratory, 
  • Company A,
  • Company B, 
  • PECO Energy, and 
  • Sonoco Products.
