Organizations Vary on Supply Chain Risk Evaluations

Details

How concerned are supply chain professionals about supply chain disruption risk? In April 2013, APQC conducted a survey to gauge the extent to which supply chain executives and finance managers are concerned about three risk factors to supply chain stability:

  • high-impact natural disasters,
  • extreme weather, and
  • political turmoil in important world regions.

Through its survey, APQC also sought to explore additional ways organizations can mitigate supply chain risk. It asked organizations to indicate how often they evaluate the resiliency of their supply chain and their exposure to supply chain risk.
