In the spring of 2013, Target Corp. asked Texas A&M University supply chain management students to find a solution to increase Target's in-store stock levels and decrease inventory levels at distribution centers while maintaining labor costs and customer satisfaction. This case study presents how one group of students used data from APQC's Open Standards Benchmarking to find potential solutions for Target.
