Open Innovation Enablers: Capture and Transfer Lessons Learned

Details

APQC conducted the study Open Innovation: Enhancing Idea Generation Through Collaboration to examine the open innovation practices of successful organizations. To increase the number of high-quality ideas sourced and generated, as well as to increase the speed of open innovation, the best-practice organizations in APQC's study embrace certain enabling practices. The adoption of these enablers is not in itself a best practice, but it furthers the success of open innovation efforts in conjunction with best practices.

The best-practice organizations featured in the study take steps to capture and transfer lessons learned from their open innovation efforts. By making the effort to document lessons learned, these organizations enable the identification and adoption of best practices for open innovation.
