At APQC's 2014 Process Conference, Randy Pennington made the case that we have to change how we think about and communicate change. His keynote presentation began with a discussion on how a constant state of change and uncertainty is the new normal. Today, every organization is driven to be faster, better, cheaper, and friendlier; the difference in these factors can mean the difference between relevancy and extinction. While none of this is new, Pennington notes that some executives and leaders have yet to catch on. This article summarizes the presentation.
