Linking strategy and related knowledge management (KM) activities can be challenging. Leveraging tools and learnings from the Hoshin method, Pfizer Global Supply’s Network Performance Strategy (NPS) group used an x-matrix tool for prioritizing projects and linking their strategy, projects, metrics, and results for KM activities. Pfizer believed an important success factor in transforming its network is a clear  statement of goals and objectives and how this relateded to the activities the organization pursues. Pfizer's Paige Kane and Robert Gergen led an interactive session at APQC's 2013 knowledge management conference.
