Many organizations would like their knowledge management (KM) technologies to be fully integrated, but few have achieved this goal. According to the best-practice organizations that APQC has studied, such integration is helpful but not necessary. These organizations are able to use existing disparate technology effectively by leveraging well-designed and rigorously applied work practices.
