Ecopetrol is the main oil company in Colombia and the fourth largest in Latin America. Since 2003, the organization has leveraged knowledge management to help it achieve its business goals. This presentation describes Ecopetrol’s experience with the consolidation of KM within its strategic framework, its process evolution, interaction mechanisms and tools, roles and responsibilities, performance measurement proposals, and some achievements and lessons learned to date.
