IT Application Development and Maintenance: Does It Matter How You Are Organized?

Details

Prepared using APQC’s Open Standards Benchmarking® data in IT Application Development and Maintenance, this article compares the practices of organizations with decentralized, centralized, and hybrid (e.g., infrastructure centralized but applications decentralized) IT governance structures across a variety of metrics. Given the disparate ways these types of organizations manage their processes, APQC hypothesized there would be significant differences in their IT applicant development and maintenance practices.

To test this hypothesis, APQC conducted analysis comparing key benchmarks, data-driven decision making maturity, and more.
