Integrated Knowledge at Transpetro: Creating a KM Program

Details

A projected dearth of petrochemical professionals and petroleum engineers facing Brazilian energy company Transpetro has led to a critical juncture.  Therefore, the organization decided to implement an aggressive knowledge management initiative in order to make sure that knowledge critical to its engineering operations would remain intact and streamlined as its employees age out of the workforce.

Duílio Fedele and Raquel Balceiro, Transpetro's KM Design Manager and Coordinator, respectively, discussed the implementation of a unique KM strategy for Transpetro via knowledge mapping at APQC's 2013 KM conference.
